Camp Theme – Spring Break in Miura! Use English while having fun on the beach!

Day 1 (Thursday)
10:15 : Depart for Miura
11:45 – 12:30 Welcome to the Rainbow Bridge House/Orientation
12:30 – 13:15 Bento Box Lunch(students bring) (please use Disposable Bento Box)

15:00 – 16:30 Afternoon Hike: Beach/Shrine/Farm
16:30 – 17:30 Rest
17:30 – 19:00 Pizza Workshop – Make your own Pizzas!
19:00 – 20:00 English Lesson & Journal writing
20:00 – 21:30 English Movie Night / Camp Fire (weather permitting)
21:30 – 22:30 Bathtime and Goodnight!
Day 2 (Friday)
7:30 – 8:45 Breakfast cooking workshop
9:00 – 10:00 English Lessons (1 on 1 and Group)
10:30 – Depart for Jogashima & Misaki Fish Market Field Trip (COO Van & Public Bus)
– Scavenger hunt
– BBQ shopping at Misaki fish market
– Day hike at Jogashima
16:00 – 16:30 Return to Beach House/ Rest
16:30 – 17:30 English Lesson ( 1 on 1 and Group)
17:30 – 19:30 Cooking/BBQ Workshop and Dinner! Let’s BBQ!
20:00 – 21:30 Campfire/Camp Activities / English Movie (weather pending)
21:30 – 22:30 Bathtime and Goodnight!
Day 3
8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast cooking/baking workshop
9:00 – 10:30 English Lessons/Activities (Presentation Practice: What I did in Miura!)
10:30 – 11:30 Pack Up and Lunch Preparations
12:00 – 13:00 Student Parent Lunch
13:00 –14:00 Student Presentations
What should my child bring?
- 1 small backpack with day trip items (for field trip)
- 1 duffel bag/small suitcase for overnight/weekend items
- Friday Lunch Bento Box
- Clothing
- Long Socks, sneakers/tennis shoes (hiking & camp fire)
- Warm cloths-pants,
- Clothing
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Pencil case (English Materials, notebooks, etc. provided)
What is provided?
- Food: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch dinner, Sunday breakfast, lunch
and lots of snacks as needed! **please notify us of any food allergies/restrictions - Transportation: We will provide transportation to Miura and all the local transportation over the weekend. Parents are encouraged to attend the Saturday farewell lunch and listen to your child’s farewell presentation. Children will depart with parents after the program.
- English Materials: Each Student will be provided a folder with learning materials, weekend schedule
- LINE group with parents for communication
- Daily 1 on 1 and group English Lessons
- We have 1-2 bilingual counselors that will support students when needed, other than that all activities and lessons will be 100% in English
Additional Notes:
- Food Restrictions/Allergies: If your child needs special food or has any allergies let us know.
- Field Trips:
– Friday Beach/Shrine/Farm hike: We will walk directly from beach house to these locations.
– Saturday Jogashima/Misaki: We will travel by Van and / or public bus to Jogashima and hike through Jogashima park. We will then go to the Misaki Seaside Fish Market where we will shop for the BBQ.
