1. Adjectives
Adjectives describe a noun (person, place and thing).
Happy | Sad | Scared |

Example 1: I am feeling very calm this morning.
Example 2: She was angry with her brother.
2. Verb “To Be”
The helping verb “to be” describes a state of being. “To be” acts as a linking verb, joining the sentence subject with a subject complement or adjective complement.*
